Congrats on your 40th anniversary! We just celebrated our 40th two weeks ago. We rented a cabin in Parksville on Vancouver island (east side of the island) near Rathtrevor beach. Both daughters and their families were there as well. It was a good time.
Happy Anniversary, Ruth and Doug! We celebrated our 40th anniversary a couple of years ago and went away to Birmingham (that's the UK city!). Maybe an unusual choice, but we have a favourite place to stay there, it is a lovely city (including a gorgeous library) and Birmingham has one of our favourite restaurants, called Dishoom, which does amazing Indian street food style dishes.
Happy anniversary! How perfect that you’re back in the state where it all began. Last year, for our 25th anniversary, we reprised our honeymoon in Maine, which was very meaningful. The mix of how the place had changed, or not, and how we’ve changed was fun to think about.
Fun to think of you and Carl tooling around Maine! I remember that last summer you posted pics about the same time we had passed that way, lovely places.

Louise, your celebration sounds wonderful -- congrats to you and Bob!

A great library and a great restaurant, now you’re speaking my language!
